your name is romeo.
you were born january tenth, fifteen years ago. you were named after the character in the play romeo and juliet. why? as told in the story, romeo was a handsome and beautiful young man- as you were a handsome and beautiful child. your parents adored your face, everything about it made them want to show it off to everyone- and which they did. you hated that. because of what your parents did, you went to have a fetish for masks- it wasn't actually real but you did find them to be fun. you noticed though that because people would see your face a lot, they for some reason thought you'd be a perfect child because you have this perfect face. so .. you screwed 'em over. you acted out as much as you could, doing everything you were told not to do. only because people expected you to be something you weren't.
after a couple years of doing that though, you began to grow tired of being a bad kid and getting punished so often because of it. you accepted what your looks brought you and started to enjoy it then. but the more you enjoyed your outside, the worse your inside became. you were nine years old, and you were arrogant, selfish, and just plain old ugly on the inside. it was what someone said that really stuck with you when you were a kid, and even to this day you refer to it. but what they said turned your head around in a complete one eighty.
" Beauty isn't what's on the outside,
it's what's on the inside. "
it took you a while to take it completely to mind, but when you made up your mind, you were luckily moving. when you got to the new state, you started wearing masks again, but this time you changed your personality whole. you became kind, caring, friendly and nice. you weren't able to change your faults, but you knew that everyone had them- so you embraced all your traits. the idea of wearing the mask is supposed to prove that you can care and love someone without needing to see their face.
you've worn masks to cover your face for almost six years now, and a couple times people have accepted the fact that you wore the mask for specific reasons. but when you wanted to be in a relationship with someone they would reject you because you refused to show them your face. it was then you realized that all you wanted was to find someone who could love you without needing to see what you look like. and when you finally do, later on, you will be willing to show them what you look like without worry.
you so badly want to prove your theory.
